Yep, it gets smaller every day! glad You enjoyed the trip, did You get to go into Brooklyn at all??? I usually work in Coney Island... I was just there for the day, they send us to work in other garages when they need to, due to vacations, or if it is a large district and they happen to have a lot of guys of that day...

I had been to N.Y.C. before but had little time at all to
do anything. That was in 1971 I believe.
This time I had at least some time to enjoy the city.
I did get to Brooklyn but it was in the evening for a
live taping of "Soundstage" with Cheap Trick. A place
called ST. Ann's Warehouse.

8,000,000 plus people in that city. Yeah, it's hard to fathom
how there can be that many jobs for that many people.

Exactly Slimz. I've been to Chicago many times and although
there were a lot of people moving around it wasn't like this.
But then you need to remember this is Times Square!!

From what I experienced pretty much.
Not as many people at midnight but still there were thousands.
As they say it's "The city that never sleeps".

It really shows how small our world is becoming!!!  Is it always that busy? :faint: You would maybe be bored here picking up the garbage, not alot of people to run over!!! :giggle:

As many as possible! .....Yep, it gets smaller everyday, that's why it's about time we start colonizing other planets! it's mostly that busy Mon-Fri during the day in Manhattan, but the rest of the time and on the weekend, not as much....but it could still be considered busy. I don't think it would be boring, it's more them wanting to get run over than anything, I'm just doing My duty as a Civil Servant, by accommodating them!;)

Thanks Barb. It was fun and I never worried about being lost. Kevin really is a human compass.
He can look at where we are and say "2 blocks over and one down and we'll be back on Broadway"
Unreal!! Made life very easy for me.

But once we got in Manhattan and started walking around
I was very glad to have done this trip. It was an eye opener for sure.
