This sculpture was created with pink and white alabaster.

I'll take critiques on how better to photograph these sculptures.

I need some input on this.

Thanks Tom. I still have some learning to do
to better photograph in this style.

Beautiful textures on this stone

Yes it does have wonderful fractal textures in it.
Of course Mandelbrot was right, there's fractals
in everything. You just need to look. :)

Phil,
It's got an organic feel to it. The pink comes out nicely.

There are some wonderful photograpy artists and groups here. They would know far better than I about indoor photograpy. I do know that when they photographed some of my jewelry years ago they used a kind of box with lighting in it - no shadows/no glare.

How big is the piece?

Thanks for the input Lin.
The piece is about 10 inches tall and about
6 -7 inches wide at it's base.
I might write a note to a friend here but
he's also one of the admins. for photography
so I may never hear from him.
I can only imagine how many notes he gets. :faint:

Take a shot, Phil. I can only imagine, myself. He would be a terrific help, even if only to point you to some others.

Love the alabaster.

Best,
Lin

Good point. He may be able to point
me to someone who does these type of photos. :)
